Standard hammers are all double sided. One side is wood and the other is a suede/leather that produces a sound typical of “leather-sided” hammers.

I also offer a full leather option called “Double Leather” which features a soft leather side and a harder, brighter sounding leather. This is my personal choice for a bright tone. It does not have the harsh sound of wood, but also doesn’t have the muffled sound of most leather hammers.

ALL leather will break in over time. Just like wood, no two pieces of leather are exactly the same. My “hard leather” will soften over time but remains brighter than typical leather.

Additionally, I offer Kangaroo Leather for a small upcharge. This has a very bright tone. It is brighter than hard leather, but still not as harsh as solid wood.
